Trinity Haven

Trinity Haven provides safe, affirming housing for LGBTQ youth experiencing housing instability. The goal of Trinity Haven’s Transitional Living Program (TLP) is to intervene before youth experience chronic homelessness and to help them pursue their educational and employment goals and develop the skills to thrive in the world independently, so they can graduate from the program into safe and stable permanent housing, with the skills to successfully maintain that housing.

The Host Homes Program (HHP) provides short-term housing for youth and young adults ages 16-24 in Indianapolis. Our Host Homes Program was created specifically for LGBTQ youth and young adults, but all young people may apply. The goal of host homes is to provide a safe, temporary, welcoming space for approximately six months where the young person has time to repair their relationships with family (when possible) or make decisions about other housing options with the support of caring, engaged staff.

ACLU Indiana

Through advocacy, education and litigation, ACLU attorneys, advocates and volunteers work to preserve and promote civil liberties including the freedom of speech, the right to privacy, reproductive freedom, and equal treatment under the law. They stand in defense of the rights of women and minorities, workers, students, immigrants, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, and others who have seen bias and bigotry threaten the rights afforded to all of us in this country by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

The ACLU - Indiana chapter holds the government accountable by filing lawsuits against government entities that are violating Hoosiers rights. They work with Hoosiers in their communities and in the Statehouse to defend individual freedoms including free speech, women’s right to access abortion, racial justice, LGBTQ rights, and disability rights, as well as protecting human rights for people who are incarcerated.
