Patachou Partners
Patachou Inc. partners with Kimberly Ewing, an International Trainer, Moderator, Facilitator and Consultant with over 30 years of experience, to hold bi-annual anti bias trainings with our team members. She trains and specializes in Implicit Bias, Emotional CPR, Bullying Prevention, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion(DEI), Cost of Poverty Experience(COPE), Team Building and Strengths Finder. We sat down with her after one of our recent sessions focused on the LGBTQIA+ community to reflect on the work we've done together.
What work do you do with Patachou?
I have completed training sessions with the entire Patachou leadership team in recognizing and understanding Implicit Bias and I will be training the team in Emotional CPR later this year, 2022.
How does that work impact our organization and the services we provide in hospitality?
These specialized trainings teach individuals how to allow EVERYONE to be seen and respected as a full humans; changing lives inside and outside of the organization. Patachou understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion and the training has given their staff the confidence to serve and lead the way in hospitality. I also love the partnership that Patachou has fostered with Indiana Youth Group and I am excited to see what this collaboration will produce in the future.
How is our work together part of what makes Patachou Radically Different, Radically Better?
Discussions about race and how to include marginalized groups are often difficult and uncomfortable to have. Patachou is truly leading the way in bringing these conversations to the forefront with staff, leadership, and community members. It is clear to me that Implicit Bias Training was not just a "box to check" for Patachou but is an opportunity to be trailblazers in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It's reflected in the people that the company serves, hires, promotes, educates, and supports (the Arts). Patachou is walking the walk and is not apologizing for taking a stand on supporting ALL people.
I will admit that Patachou's collection of restaurants are not only my favorite places to dine but Patachou is one of my favorite clients. I'm so grateful to be partnering with you.
